OtoPro Custom Solid Earplugs are unfiltered custom-fit plugs built for maximum attenuation. Where our filtered plugs let speech and environmental cues through selectively, solid plugs block sound across the full frequency range. They are the right choice when reducing noise as much as possible takes priority over hearing your surroundings. Built from impressions of your individual ear canals using medical-grade, high-strength silicone, with an NRR of 27 to 29 dB.
When to choose solid
Solid plugs are recommended for recreational and occupational settings where situational awareness is not the priority. Typical cases: sustained loud environments where communication is not happening, double protection under earmuffs at indoor ranges, or any time you want the deepest passive protection a custom plug can provide. If you need to hear speech clearly, maintain situational awareness, or selectively protect against impulse noise like gunshots, our filtered options are the better fit.
Custom fit and finish
Every set is built from impressions taken by a credentialed provider in our network of more than 450 clinics across the United States, Canada, and abroad. We do not use mail-in kits or accept self-sourced impressions. The provider physically evaluates the ears, takes the impressions, and identifies anatomy or medical issues that change which products will work. That clinical step is what separates a custom plug that protects from one that looks the part.
You choose between two fit styles. Full Shell fills more of the outer ear and provides a more secure hold during head movement. Canal Size is lower-profile and more discreet. Either works for solid plugs depending on your preferences for visibility and physical movement. You also choose from a range of color options. Each set ships with a carrying case and a removable lanyard system.

If you already have impressions on file with us, ordering takes minutes. If not, complete checkout and we will pair you with a provider in our network for the impressions appointment. Returning customers can use existing digital impressions to reorder without a new fitting visit.
